Follow the Right Wolf
What do we do in a world that feels increasingly out of control?
It can be hard to know what to believe these days - and it's a sense of fear and uncertainty that has been exacerbated by the global pandemic, propaganda from all sides hijacking social media and conspiracy theorists everywhere.
If we can no longer trust the politicians or the newspapers to tell us what's what who can we trust and listen to? Who can give us the guidance we need to manage the anxiety, fear, stress and uncertainty that comes with modern life.
I ran a series of interviews with the leading spiritual teachers and authors of the day to glean their wisdom for a life well lived and ask them for practical tips and tools for how to remain calm, centered and living with an open heart - no matter what!
Follow the Right Wolf is named after the old Cherokee anecdote of the Grandfather who tells his little grandson that there are two wolves fighting within us a black wolf and a white wolf. The little boy asks who wins and the Grandfather replies:
Whichever one you feed.
For me this beautifully encapsulates many of the mental healths struggles that lead to depression, anxiety and stress.
So much of our inner wellbeing and resiliency can be generated from us discerning what we can take control of and what we can't control and then "feeding" the white wolf - with supportive thoughts, emotions and behaviours.
